Jose Luis Duran <jlduran@FreeBSD.org> changed:

           What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                 CC| |jlduran@FreeBSD.org

--- Comment #3 from Jose Luis Duran <jlduran@FreeBSD.org> ---
All errors seem to be originated by port-knocking bots, for example:

    % echo "SSH-1.5-TEST" | nc <ssh-server> 22
sshd-session[xxxx]: error: Protocol major versions differ: 2 vs. 1

I fail to see where the bug is. Perhaps, in /etc/syslog.conf comment the line:

    *.err;auth.notice;authpriv.none;kern.debug;mail.crit /dev/console

And restart the service.

For a longer explanation, see bug #264600.
