I got a couple of requests for the answer to losing your root password. This will *ONLY* work on the console, and if you don't have the console locked (which I didn't). ctrl-alt-del boot: -s # /sbin/fsck -p # /sbin/mount -a # passwd root # ctrl-D It took me about 5 minutes to do this.
