I dont know if this the default behaviour, but anyway:
BOX 1 (5.3 BETA3)
ed0 192.168.1.1 ----------------- HUB
xl0 no IPv4 address ------+
|
192.168.1.x
BOX 2
from BOX 2 I cannot ping 192.168.1.1, but I do have access to the
entire network that ed0 is connected (hub). No firewalls envolved.
Am I lacking any specific layer 2 knowledge? Is it normal behavivour?
Is it a bug?
