As the subject of this mail implies, I constantly run into the error of "Can't transfer bin distribution from ad0s1" (or similar) whenever attempting to install (the minimum - \bin installation) FreeBSD 4.2 from a (Fat32) Dos partition. So far i've tried all sorts of variations of directory structures for the source of the installation (including the suggested *correct* structure) ; ie. copying all files to c:\Freebsd\ , c:\bin, copying the *.inf files all over the place so the installation can find them, etc. Why exactly does the FreeBSD installation have a problem with finding the source for the installation? Has anyone else run into problems like this? *thanks* -Brian To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
