Yes, read find(1) man.
In short:
find ${DIRECTORY} -mtime 8
This will give you the files which were modified 8 days before
in directory ${DIRECTORY}.
find ${DIRECTORY} -mtime -8
This will give you the files which were modified 8 days ago
and afterwards in directory ${DIRECTORY}.
There is also -newerXY option which might be interesting.
