I have sucessfully used that motherboard with FreeBSD 9 and the mps driver. The mfi driver found on the LSI site does not support this controller. Daniel PS: My experiments were with the X8DTL-6F motherboard and Supermicro chassis with E16 expander. There is no reason the HBA chip in the single processor motherboard to be different.
