What video adapter is inside? I'm guessing, but this is not
by any chance a TGA-based card is it? FreeBSD/axp does not currently support
TGA based adapters. The SRM will use it, but the kernel not once started.

I think this is what:

 /stand/sysinstall running as init on serial console 

is trying to tell you.
