Check the Documentation on www.freebsd.org. There is a step-by step instruction in the handbook. Look for Configuring the Kernel (Chapter 9). For starters, you will need to edit /sys/i386/conf/<your config file>, and add the options below. Next, you will need to type config <config file>. Hope this helps!!
