The FreeBSD relnotes for that driver are missing a section that the
equivalent Linux version has on how to setup Optimus:

>From that page, it seems like you will need some very up to date Xorg
components, as well as a co-operating secondary graphics driver. I
don't know if you can get all those things yet on FreeBSD, nor if even
having them would allow it all to work, given the missing
documentation in the driver.

Perhaps worth a try if you have some Optimus kit.
