hi, im having some problems :-), with a non/old ATA driver it works, = with the new, it does not. the moterboard is a GA-7DPXDW (in plain english: a dual Athlon MP, with a Promise Fastrak100 on board). when using the raid option (actually 2 IDE disks striped), and doing a make -j4 buildworld with both /usr/src & /usr/obj on the local disk, it now just hangs - after a while -. somedays ago, with an older kernel it didn't crash but gave all sort of compilation errors. if i don't use the raid option all is ok. i don't think this is relevant but: the host is diskless, or shall i say, dataless. if i don't use the local = disk all is ok. danny To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
