I sent a question once here about inability of freebsd-4.3 to communicate with a usb photo camera, but never got a response... Assuming it was probably because of an old version, I connected the device to a machine under 4.7, but the symptoms are the same: Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: umass0: KONICA CORPORATION KD-500Z, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2, SCSI over Bulk- Only Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: umass0:0:0:-1: Attached to scbus0 as device 0 Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED Dec 30 10:40:11 raven last message repeated 4 times Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: da0: <Konica KD-500Z 1.00> Removable Direct Access SCSI-0 device Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: da0: 650KB/s transfers Dec 30 10:40:11 raven /kernel: da0: 123MB (253313 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 123C) So, the question again, how that can be fixed? I hope that someone supports usb/umass implementation, but if I'm wrong it would be a loss for me dropping freebsd because of such a minor thing. -- Sincerely, Dmitry --- www.karasik.eu.org --- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
