Hi,

Before I say anything, I should point out that all questions should be
sent to the freebsd-questions mailing list.[1] My comments here are
limited to the official documentation.

As for the video card...

Refer to the XF86Config man page if you simply want to edit
the file rather than using one of the x setup tools. (I found it
much easier...)

HD layout is, in my opinion, a personal matter... (What do you
want to do with them? freebsd should exist happily on a 6G
drive... maybe mount the extras as /usr/home and /usr/ports...
I'll leave the decisions up to you, though.)
