the question is: how do I set the root password on mysql? this is a
first step in getting phpbb3 up. i have other CMS tools installed
on aristotle, m jail where my webserver runs.
this failed:
mysqladmin -u root password
mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'
according to my logs it has been about 5 years since i did this last.
advice please!
