You'll see messages being rejected in your maillog -- like this:
Jun 20 12:41:17 happy-idiot-talk sm-mta[50011]: i5KBf8LW050011: ruleset=check_rcpt, arg1=<m.seaman@infracaninophile.co.uk>, relay=c-67-162-153-95.client.comcast.net [67.162.153.95], reject=550 5.7.1 <m.seaman@infracaninophile.co.uk>... Mail from 67.162.153.95 rejected using spamcop.net DNSBL. See http://spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=67.162.153.95
If you aren't seeing any rejects then either you haven't installed the
modified sendmail.cf and restarted sendmail properly:
# cd /etc/mail
# make
# make install
# make restart
or you simply haven't had any spam from blacklisted addresses.
Cheers,
Matthew
