Hello!

The last 30 minutes I had two of these spontanous errors.

That's a little strange - I had one some weeks ago.
When I had it the last minutes, I was making install in
/usr/ports/print/tetex-beta/
It was downloading teTeX-texmf-0.9-981113.tar.gz from ftp.freebsd.org
while this. (btw, this port is quite old!)
And this is a little strange. I'm quite sure that I was doing that,
too, when I had the last reboot, TOO!

Imagine that - I *never* had such reboots in the last weeks, but two
times a day when downloading this package.

This is a little strange.
But that's not all. I have high cpu load while this.
Today both times the following stuff was running when it reboots:

* bladeenc (mp3-encoder, makes the load to 100%)
* netscape
* several rxvt's
* icewm
* XFree86 (SVGA, RivaTNT)
* BitchX
* mpg123

But this runs very often here and I have no problems.

And, additionally, I was doing the make fetch for tetex-beta.

Yes. Here is my machine:

Today my xl0 seemed to make problems, I had such errors as following
and then I rebooted, because they always re-appeared after a ifconfig
down up ( I never had this before).
Then some minutes all was ok that again these errors. This was the
time when today I started the make install for tetex-beta for the
first time. (Before the first reboot I just heard mp3, made bladeenc
(both over NFS!) and read mail)

I paste the important /var/log/messages parts here:

NMBCLUSTERS or i
ncrease maxusers!
Jun 8 13:24:38 cichlids /kernel: xl0: no memory for rx list -- packet
dropped!

[First reboot, just screen black, VGA BIOS appears (as a reset)]

[boot messages, some time stable while I tried to reproduce the
reboot, starting again the download etc]

Jun 8 13:48:18 cichlids /kernel: Out of mbuf clusters - adjust
NMBCLUSTERS or i
ncrease maxusers!
Jun 8 13:48:18 cichlids /kernel: xl0: no memory for rx list -- packet
dropped!
[second reboot, again just screen black]

While both reboots I've been in X.

I really hope this is only a problem of NMBCLUSTERS or maxusers (which
I don't set extra, NMBCLUSTERs isn't in my kernel-configfile and
maxusers is 32 (as in GENERIC).

But maybe this helps.
I'll try to reproduce it again now :)
