I have this problem:

I'm using my FreeBSD box as a ppp server, using mgetty to spawn ppp,
everything is working fine, except that when the remote user hangs up his
modem or the line dropps, the ppp user process doesen't terminate, it
keeps on living until i manually kill it, i already tried using the line

timeout 120

on the ppp.config file, but still, ppp doesent exit.

i'm usig it in -direct mode.

any help will be greatly apreciated..
