The following reply was made to PR ports/72014; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Panagiotis Astithas <past@ebs.gr> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, nlsn@free.fr Cc: Subject: Re: ports/72014: Eclipse doesn't work (SigBus 10) if it has been built with GTK Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2005 21:40:26 +0300 It seems that this behavior is similar to the one mentioned in the eclipse bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs) item #79618. This bug report contains two more references to gcc bug reports: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10395 http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21973 Their theory is that the bug "may be caused by the Sun VM not aligning its stack when calling into JNI code". They also mention that compiling gtk libraries with -mno-sse2 seemed to help. Perhaps the reporters of this bug could prove or disprove this theory for our case. Panagiotis
