Take a look at NetBSD and find out if there is already support for the 2100. If there is, take a close look and start porting ;-) You will need a machine that is already supported by FreeBSD/axp to compile stuff for you. I went through this exercise a couple of months ago with my Aspen Alpine/EB64+ and it was not extremely difficult (NetBSD/axp was a great help, as where a couple of people on the freebsd-alpha mailing list.
