I'm trying to figure out my dmesg - I'm getting this in part: acpi0: <IBM SERONYXP> on motherboard acpi0: Power Button (fixed) acpi0: reservation of 460, 2 (4) failed Timecounter "ACPI-safe" frequency 3579545 Hz quality 1000 acpi_timer0: <32-bit timer at 3.579545MHz> port 0x488-0x48b on acpi0 cpu0: <ACPI CPU> on acpi0 cpu1: <ACPI CPU> on acpi0 cpu2: <ACPI CPU> on acpi0 cpu3: <ACPI CPU> on acpi0 pcib0: <ACPI Host-PCI bridge> on acpi0 pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib0 pci0: <display, VGA> at device 5.0 (no driver attached) atapci0: <ServerWorks CSB5 UDMA100 controller> port 0x700-0x70f, 0x376,0x170-0x17 7,0x3f6,0x1f0-0x1f7 at device 15.1 on pci0 can someone shed any light on this part: acpi0: reservation of 460, 2 (4) failed ? This is an IBM xSeries 345. I have read the acpi man and understand some generalities but am wondering if I could be building a different kernel and avoid the error message. This is on 5.3 and with GENERIC w/SMP kernel. Thanks in advance - d.
