First get wget working on your system.
FETCH_CMD? = /usr/local/bin/wget -r --proxy-user=user_name
--proxy-passwd=passwd --no-directories
--directory-prefix=${DISTDIR}/$DIST_SUBDIR}
And put this command in /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk and comment out
original FETCH_CMD? Declarations.

I wish to configure the PORTS facility on my 4.4 server to operate from
behind a firewall which requires authorization(id/password challenge) to
use. I have not been able to find the answer to the question.
