I get the wedgeing problem on a 4.11-STABLE, I have to 'ifconfig down;
ifconfig up' to get it to communicate again. The system is:

-bash-2.05b$ uname -a
FreeBSD elrond.devrandom.org.uk 4.11-STABLE FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE #2: Mon
Aug 15 00:23:05 BST 2005
root@elrond.devrandom.org.uk:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ELROND  i386
-bash-2.05b$ uptime
  5:45PM  up 36 days, 23:44, 1 user, load averages: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

Though netstat -i shows no errors:

-bash-2.05b$ netstat -i
