Believe it or not I have read that many times.  But, the way I read it, 
using more than -4 was considered experimental.

At any rate it finally finished (for the second time)

I am now runing:
FreeBSD 4.10-BETA #0: Tue Apr 13 21:49:08 PDT 2004

I hope it works better than 4.9 : )
