Umm.. nevermind :) In addition to some errors in the XF86Config, I
figured out that it was probing information from the monitor and
trying to use that info for the LCD. Adding option NoVBE to the LCD's
device fixed everything.

Though I am kindof wondering why the jogdial device doesn't show a
keypress for the Back button, only for the wheel press. But that's
another matter.
