Dear Sirs.
I have a hobby. Simply it is the computer security and related topics.
2 months ago i've got a Walnut Creek FreeBSD 2.1.0 CDROM distribution
willing to design and implement MAC(mandatory access control) according to
Bell-LaPadula model or something like that. I choose FreeBSD because of
free avaliable source. But the problem is, that breaking through megabytes
of kernel routines i've got a terriblre headache. :( I don't know where to
look at. What kernel structures can i modify and what i should recompile
next to get it work. ( After my "modifications" the kernel stops with bus
error ;-))
Where can i find information of kernel internals such as processes and
user credits, IPC, VOP_ stuff, v-nodes and its relations with i-nodes, the
most complete info on how does this thing works inside.
I'll want to buy a book "4.4BSD design and implementation". Is it enough?
I read manuals and faqs. It said that You may be interested in such stuff.
I have no much time, but i want to try.
thanks for advice.
Certainly Yours, Ilmar.
Moscow, Russia.
PS. Sorry for bad English if any mistakes have been made. I have no
English-speaking practice for a long time, only English-reading. ;-)
