Hi Matt, Problem (kind of solved), that computer was kaput, it's already waiting for the UPS pick-up to the Acer Repair Center (luckily that unit is still in warranty). I have another identical netboot, which I just installed 9.1-RELEASE on. CPU fan behaves normally, shutdown and reboot is working now, suspend/resume is working except no video on resume.
