Hi everyone;
I have recently purchased a NEC 870 Superscript laser printer. I've been
trying ot get it to work with my FreeBSd-3.4 Release. I can lptest>
/dev/lpt0 and get one line of text with no problem, but as soon as I add a
filter to use the spool, i get the following error: cannot execv
/usr/local/libexec/filter (where filter has my filter script). I cannot get
around this.
I have checked both the /etc/printcap and my filter functions and they seem
fine. I have noticed though, looking through my /var/log/lpd-errs file that
I have a papd[325] atp_open: Protocol not supported. I'm sure this is the
source of my problem. Where can I get papd from and where do I install it.
Thanking all in advance
-Uriel
