Only the 2920C (which has an Adaptec 7855 on board) is supported.  The
Adaptec 2920 is a rebadged future domain card.

Actually, you need ahc0.  The aic0 driver is no longer supported.  It is
for the AIC-6260/6360 chips.  That driver may be supported at some point,
but isn't just yet.

Well, I've got a few questions:

 - is it a 2920 or a 2920C?
 - what are the error messages that get printed out?
 - It sounds like you must be booting off an IDE disk.  Can you boot
   without the DAT drive attached, or without the SCSI controller in the
   machine?
