EST is Eastern Standard Time, this morning you should
have changed to Eastern Daylight Time.  So it looks like
ntpdate is doing what it's supposed to.  Maybe it's a 
time zone issue on your box?  Perhaps a man on ntpdate
will shed some light on this.
