Sooner or later, I would have begun to work on this on my own time; I love FreeBSD and I'm very slowly trying to show my appreciation by contributing to it. A company that I do a great deal of consulting for wants me to fix-up the NFS implementation on their behalf. I just found it incredible that they would be willing to pay me for 50 hours of work (multiply that by my 3 digit/hr consulting rate.. makes for a pretty penny) to fix up something that ultimately doesn't effect them one way or another.
