I don't agree GIGA Copper using TCP/IP over Ethernet
does not have the same degree of control and interoperability
as ATM has.

Now all Local Radio Loop based telco in Europe are using ATM
based alcatel hardware, and needs for bandwidth management
etc.. is growing , ATM is still and more than ever a good
solution to all these problems IMHO
