I seem to have jumped to a conclusion about the problem. More detailed sear= ch of /var shows that the largest files created by startx are fontconfig: /var/db/fontconfig/75ff5e8ddb5aa19e5f229f72d89c73db-le64.cache-4: 461K /var/db/fontconfig/55cbb48b13195d29d336fd465f155e7b-le64.cache-4: 460K /var/db/fontconfig/22264dd0cde396d5b420cc5d58df03cf-le64.cache-4: 119K Apparently, this is what actually fills the MD. So now I am asking for two solutions... --=20 FreeBSD_amd64_11-Current_RadeonKMS
