To my knowledge, BusLogic has never withheld any of this information.
If I'm not mistaken, the 948 is exactly like a 946 in every way,
except that it supports 20MB/s Ultra SCSI speeds, in addition to
10MB/s SCSI-2 (which is what the 946 supports).

Maybe you're thinking of the FlashPoint controllers?  I don't know if
anyone has obtained info on those, yet.
