How do you configure sendmail that it sends an e-mail to a host "active.ch" which isn't in any DNS?

The host is actually recorded in DNS as "mail.active.ch" and as "nl.active.ch":

Because I saw it working i.e. in Sybase you can send an e-mail e.g. to lolo@active.ch and it gets sent to lolo@nl.active.ch I know that there must be a way to configure sendmail accordingly.
