No.  2.8.2 has never been in a released version of FreeBSD.  3.4
definitely shipped with 2.7.3.2: 

% gcc -v
gcc version 2.7.2.3
% uname -a | anonymize
FreeBSD xxx 3.4-STABLE FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE #0: Fri Aug 25 17:46:57 MDT 2000 yyy@xxx:/usr/src/sys/compile/XXX i386
%
