Freebsd is an entirely separate operating system from pc-bsd and desktop-bsd ... You will have to compile your own upgrades...and the drivers are specific meaning it depends on which chipset / logic board you are trying to support Sent via BlackBerry from Cingular Wireless -----Original Message----- From: Richard <cms01@tampabay.rr.com> Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2006 00:43:23 To:current@freebsd.org Subject: FreeBSD ? thinking about trying freebsd, how are the driver issues? for the latest laptop wireless networking..etc how about software upgrades, are they self updating ? or does one need to compile his own. what is the best distro of freebsd PC-BSD or Desktop-BSD Thanks - Rich _______________________________________________ freebsd-current@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-current To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-current-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
