Now that I have a windows box up and running through a gateway on FreeBSD, to the web, the inevitable is happening. I would like to be able to access others parts of the unix system from the Windows laptop. 1) It would be great to be able to run my php-mysql in the windows computer. I entered what I do in my unix browser - http://localhost/myfiles.php but the windows box does not know who "localhost" or "d.tracker" (hostname) is. 2) I would also like to run an X terminal from the windows session. I have heard there are programs for doing this on the windows end. I wonder about the configuration on the FreeBSD end. 3) Is there a way to print from the Windows browser to the unix printer? I don't even know if the output of the windows browser is postscript. I am using apsfilter on my unix box.
