Hi, The linux_base-5.2 doesn't work either. It got rid of a couple of errors, but the install program still doesn't work: imoore:/usr/ports/editors/staroffice5# make install ===> Installing for staroffice-5.1a ===> staroffice-5.1a depends on file: /compat/linux/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/l ibc.so.5 - not found ===> Verifying install for /compat/linux/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libc.so.5 i n /usr/ports/emulators/linux_base ===> Installing for linux_base-5.2 ===> linux_base-5.2 depends on executable: rpm - found 666: not found *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. imoore:/usr/ports/editors/staroffice5# So, I guess it's time to upgrade learn how cvsup works & bring my system up to 3.4-RELEASE (or -STABLE). If I do that, should I still use the linux_base-5.2 port, or the 6.1 port? Thanks very much for your help with this, -- Ian Moore On Tue, 25 Jan 2000, Alejandro Ramirez wrote: > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ian Moore <imoore@picknowl.com.au> > To: Alejandro Ramirez <ales@megared.net.mx> > Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2000 4:39 AM > Subject: RE: Star Office 5.1 on FreeBSD3.2 dumps when run > > > > Hi Ian, > > > > > > Try the linux_base-5.2 port first, if that doesnt work for you, then go > > > ahead with the installation of 3.4, I have attached the linux_base-5.2 > port > > > to this mail, remember to unninstall the linux_base-6.1 port first. > > > > > > Have Fun... > > > Ales To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
