Hi,
I have a problem with FreeBSD 3.2 and my AMD K6-2 at 333MHz. It randomly
reboots while the CPU usage is high. Sometimes, it does so during a
compilation (but never done it when I recompiled the kernel) or when
Communicator is requested to open a link within a new window. There is
no entry in /var/log/messages. The symptom shows up as the whole machine
is wedged for 5-10 seconds then my machine reboots.
Going through the GNATS database and dejanews, I have come to the
conclusion that it could be my K6-2 or some kernel parameter needs to
be tweaked. Unfortunately I don't know how to check if my K6-2 has
the bug or not. I read about a referece to sandpile.org but am unable
to search for how to identify if my K6-2 has the bug. Any help with
this problem is greatly appreciated.
