well, i never heard back from anyone regarding this, so i don't know
if anyone's done anything with it or not.

so, i have to bare my shame to _everyone_, and say that there were a
couple of fairly serious bugs in the 5.1 version of vile on which my
ports makefiles were based. i've released a new version of vile to
fix those bugs, and tarred up a new set of vile/xvile ports directory
stuff, referencing the new tarball etc. so, if anyone _did_ pick up
my stuff from id.wing.net:/pub/pgf/freebsd, they should do it again.
sorry 'bout that.

i promise this won't become a "release du jour". i _really_ thought this
was a stable release, and waited for a long time (several bugfix only
releases) before submitting this stuff... can i quit grovelling now? :-)

(i still don't quite understand the proper protocol for all this. can
someone please fill me in? should i be pestering the list with this?)
