What can I do ? Apparently you posted something to a newsgroup or a list that's archived on the web. Even posting to this one will eventually get you in their lists. The spammers harvest email addresses in any number of ways, including crawling web sites and newsgroups. Don't bother unsubscribing. There have been a few informal experiments that indicate these aren't actually used to remove addresses from mailing lists, but to verify the validity of emails, and are usually proliferated even faster. What can you do? Install SpamAssassin (ports/mail/p5-Mail-SpamAssassin) and make sure it's well trained and properly configured. You might even do well to set up a honeypot address to keep your bayes database up to date. Other than that, abandon the email address. I'm shutting a whole domain down in another week or so to give it a few months to be purged out of those lists. And forget about the CAN-Spam laws. They're bull. They give you no rights, and some think the spam problem has actually gotten worse since it took effect. Good luck.
