I think I have that same drive. wdidle ran without errors, but the drive still parks eight seconds after the last access. If the problem isn't in the firmware, it would be nice to get some use out if it; there's a noticeable delay while the heads load. There's the brute-force method of waking it up with a camcontrol command or just touch a file every five seconds or so.
