You either boot into FreeBSD or Windows when you boot the machine.
You can configure your boot manager to default to booting Windows
and to only boot FreeBSD if you tell it to.  You will still have
to reboot the machine to switch back and forth, however.

You want to install Windows first and FreeBSD second if you take
this approach, however.  I belive there is a tutorial on
www.FreeBSD.org for this.
