The device 'com2' doesn't really exist.  You may have edited 'sio2', which
is not enabled by default.  Try editing 'sio0' or 'sio1' instead.  Make
sure the IRQ and base address match up and do not conflict with other
device.

You may need to point ppp in the right direction.  try running at the ppp>
prompt,

set device /dev/cuaa?

where ? = the sio device you modified above (0 = sio0, 1=sio1)

You can exit term mode by typing ~. (tilde, period).

Try the above and get back to us if that doesn't work.
