I think that a set of How-To's would be easier to get going than a whole book. I learnt this when doing my PhD (had to learn *something* from it): A PhD thesis is impossible to write; a Chapter of a PhD thesis is very hard to write; sections of chapters of a PhD thesis are manageable tasks! regards, Danny
