There are a few other variant QLA2100s... the 'F' versions are fibreoptic. There are copper versions. There are also clone (and cheaper) cards available from Antares (http://www.antares.com) and Performance Technology (http://www.pt.com). > Has anyone got any feed-back on this card and Fibre-Channel drives in general > under FreeBSD? > We usually use Adaptec cards as we've had no problems with them - any > plans to support the AHA-F940? Well, I'm the author of these drivers. I find them pretty good, but with the proviso that: a) Private loop only (working on fabric support now) b) I don't handle loop id's shifting around. In two years of fooling around with this, I've not really seen this happen. Beyond that, they seem to work pretty well. But I've not had a very large set of hardware to play with. I'd be very grateful for any feedback you could provide. Future plans: Fabrc and shifting port database support QLA2200 Support Target mode (within the next couple of months) Better Ultra2 support (the 1280) -matt To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the messagehelp
