>Description:
I have a Seagate STT8000A that worked fine under 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5. After upgrading to 4.6, the drive quit working. I have two machines that are experiencing this problem. When trying to reference the drive with mt, it hangs. The process hangs also and will not die with a kill -9. Only a reboot frees the drive.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to access the drive using the mt or backup commands.
>Fix:
None I know of.
