Hello, A few days ago my FBSD-4.1.1 installation just refused to boot up saying invalid partition. I was able to boot off the cdrom and then I found the fdisk information is fine. I backed up and tried to update (and later install) anew; but I see messages like these during and after installation on a slightly heavy disk activity: sg[0] - Addr 0x4aec000 : Length 8192 (da0:ahc0:0:1:0): BDR message in message buffer (da0:ahc0:0:1:0): SCB 0x10 - timed out in Command phase, SEQADDR == 0xa9 (More info on these are written to dmesg and are at the end of the dmesg output that follows.) Moreover, while I have only one SCSI HDD, the install process as well as the dmesg thinks I have da0-14 all of the same configuration. I am afaid my disk is dying. Or (luckily) am I wrong? If so, what should I do to get sane behaviour back? Thanks for any help, gangadhar.
