A suggestion: When I enabled apmd on my machine, I also got hangs. I solved it by inserting a sleep of 5 seconds in /etc/apmd.conf, before the invokation of /etc/rc.resume (not sure if this is they layout of apmd on 4.9 though). I don't know if the hang was due to disk activity or specifically the sync calls that are in /etc/rc.resume. (Previously I had been using apm but without apmd.) -- / Peter Schuller, InfiDyne Technologies HB PGP userID: 0xE9758B7D or 'Peter Schuller <peter.schuller@infidyne.com>' Key retrieval: Send an E-Mail to getpgpkey@scode.org E-Mail: peter.schuller@infidyne.com Web: http://www.scode.org
