https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D48133 Warner Losh <imp@FreeBSD.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |Overcome By Events Status|Open |Closed CC| |imp@FreeBSD.org --- Comment #3 from Warner Losh <imp@FreeBSD.org> --- Thank you for this interesting suggestion. We regret that we've not acted o= n it in a timely manner. /etc/rc was replaced by /etc/rc.d a few months afterwar= ds so this was unfortunately overlooked until now. /etc/rc no longer is a thing. and the periodic idea is interesting, but the proposed script won't work without some additional work. I'm also not sure this is a good idea. I've had some files that I've forgot= ten about until the next boot and was glad I got another reminder... OOTH, I've filled up /var/mail spool areas because of too much email. So I'm unsure. Since this isn't actually a patch, and the description here isn't quite eno= ugh to implement this, I'm going to close this. It's been 20 years and nobody e= lse has submitted anything similar. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
