I noticed that the linux driver has some error handling for broken batterie=
s.
So after you fully charge the battery, it switches from ac power to dc power
and stays there forever?

Maybe it helps to inspect acpiconf -i 0, at 99% and 100%.

Maybe it will show bogus values..
